We took a long weekend down to Pondicherry, a former French territory that didn't officially become part of India until the early 70s is I'm remembering correctly. Supposed to have French colonial atmosphere...definitely visible in the architecture, although less so anything else. Above is looking down in our lovely hotel from the top floor to the restaurant below. Outstanding food and a great hotel.
